Opening Operation in Blowroom (Spinning )

 As the raw material enters in the spinning mill in highly compressed form (Bale) . Raw material is made highly compressed to  make the transport of the raw material easy and also to make storage easy. So, opening become the first basic operation of spinning.

As the raw material is highly compressed due to which it requires various type and degree of opening.

Opening devices

1. Rollers : The pictures of Rollers you can see in the above figure.These type of rollers are used in step cleaner. Rollers are small in diameter.

2.Drums : Drums are used in mono cylinder for opening the highly compressed material into flocks.

3. Quitted Shaft : It is shaft that is having long beater rods. These type of opening is hardly used now days.

4. Multi Blade Beater : These are multi blade beater might having two,three or more arms and now mostly used in old blowroom lines.

5. Spiked lattice : It is a endless belt with transverse wooden or plastic bars in which needles are set, gives very gentle opening.

6.Picker : It is outdated now a day but its task is to pick the bale and also help in blending and garbing of bale .

7.Carding Bars or plate : This device is used is carding machine which also help in more opening of the fiber by various carding action.

Machines used in short-staple fiber spinning and there operations

 Staple fiber (i.e raw cotton, flax, Hemp, wool) that can be twisted to form yarn is called staple fiber and it can vary in length. Around 33 million tons approx. processed as staple fiber every year in the world annual fiber consumption. It become important to know about the technology which is required to convert the raw material to semi finished or fully finished product.
